Legal Intern
Remote internship supporting our legal team with research, drafting and client matters in immigration, citizenship and business law.
Mayo Law is an international law firm operating in New York and Toronto. We are looking for a Legal Intern to support our legal team.
The internship is remote and open to candidates anywhere in the United States or Canada.
The role
You will work on research, drafting support and client matters under the supervision of a licensed lawyer at the firm, in immigration, Canadian citizenship and business law.
What you will do
- Researching legal questions and summarizing what you find
- Helping prepare documents, checklists and correspondence
- Supporting client intake and helping organize files
- Assisting with research for special projects
Who we are looking for
- A law student, or a student preparing for a legal career
- Interested in immigration, citizenship or business law
- Strong research and writing skills
- Organized, dependable and comfortable working remotely
- Located in the United States or Canada
