Program name. Mayo Law text messaging. Mayo Law provides legal services through Joseph Mayo PLLC in New York and Mayo Law PC in Ontario.
Types of messages. When you opt in, Mayo Law may send you text messages about your enquiry or legal matter with the firm. These include appointment and consultation reminders, scheduling and callback confirmations, requests for documents or information, and updates on your file. Mayo Law does not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How you opt in. You agree to receive text messages from Mayo Law by giving verbal consent to our team over the phone, by giving consent in writing, or by checking the SMS consent box on our contact form at mayo.law. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of retaining Mayo Law or purchasing any service.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies. We send messages only when there is an interaction with you or an update on your enquiry or matter.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
Opting out. You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that, we will not send you any more text messages unless you opt in again. You can also reply CANCEL, END, QUIT or UNSUBSCRIBE.

Carrier liability. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Confidentiality. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information by text message, because text messages are not a secure method of communication.
